Robin & Patrick get ready to celebrate their anniversary. Robin checks her list to make sure Emma and the sitter have everything they need. Patrick surprises Robin by renting a room at the MetroCourt. Robin is pleased. Patrick gives Robin the traditional 1 year anniversary gift, paper, in the form of a journal. Robin explains to Patrick how she used to journal when she was a teenager and it really helped her sort out her feelings. She thanks him for inspiring her to journal again. She explains that her gift wasn’t too portable, so she’ll give it to him when they get home. Robin and Patrick make love in their first montage since 2006! Later, Robin & Patrick decide their anniversary isn’t complete without Emma by their side and they return home and finish the night with their baby girl on their laps.

Robin gets cut and excuses herself from the operation as Steve takes over, much to Lisa’s confusion. Lisa overhears Steve reassure Robin that her HIV+ status does not diminish her as a doctor in his eyes. Later, Lisa confronts Patrick about keeping Robin’s HIV status from her. Patrick snaps that it’s none of her business. Robin & Lisa discuss the situation at the nurses desk, which bonds the women. Lisa calms down, as Robin explains how Patrick made her see she could have the life she thought was beyond her reach. Lisa watches Patrick and Robin amiably bicker over getting a Christmas tree.

Lisa confides in Robin, saying she feels pretty petty to worry about her perfect record being blemished with today’s death. Robin gets it and the two women bond. Lisa smiles at Robin; she didn’t want to like Robin, but she does. Patrick enters and tells the women about his fight with Steve. They explain that Steve was probably saving Patrick from getting into some kind of altercation with the patient’s family. Steve walks in. Robin diffuses the tension by taking Steve to the bar to buy him an apologetic drink while Lisa tells Patrick that Robin is awesome. Later, the foursome play darts.

More and more End of the Decade specials are being posted. This time, SOAPnet named Kimberly’s 2005 return as Dr. Robin Scorpio as the most welcome (longterm) return on General Hospital for the 2000s! We quite agree! After the internet hoax the year before saying Kimberly was returning to the show turned out to be a scam, fans were really happy to learn that Kimberly would actually return to the show when it was announced in the summer of 2005.

Here’s what SOAPnet had to say:
“We’d gotten a few brief glimpses of Robin in the early part of the decade, but we were over the moon to see her return full-time in 2005. Not only did she save Jason’s life, bring Laura out of her catatonia (uh … for a little bit), and engage in some EPIC slap-fights with Carly, but she also met Patrick and gave us Scrubs!”

Two female car crash victims arrive at General Hospital. Patrick takes one and after some hesitation, he lets Lisa take the other. Lisa assures him that she can handle this and she asks Robin to assist. Robin agrees and the two women jump into surgery. Everything seems to be going fine until the patient flatlines. Unfortunately, the patient dies and the women head to Jake’s to blow off some tension. Lisa orders a double shot of tequila and opens up about how lousy she feels about losing her patient. The women continue to bond as Lisa shares stories from her early medical career. Robin sees that Lisa isn’t so bad after all. Meanwhile, the patient’s brother goes berserk when he learns his sister has died. Patrick tries to reason with the guy, forgetting that he is grieving. When the guy starts to badmouth Lisa, Patrick angrily defends her. Steve realizes how unprofessional this is and jumps in, causing Patrick to angrily tell him never to pull rank in front of a patient again.
